guess u all might think I no longer update this blog... hmm... when it's time to write here, I'll do so.
this coming new year I'll start a new job, hope everything will go right la.... I do look forward to new changes cuz the last couple years had been very routine lifestyle for me. I dunno, but I wish I can accomplish more when I still have the chance and energy.
a big year lies ahead, wish u all the best! the most important thing is to stay happy and healthy!
remember I blogged about this gender-prediction kit longggg time ago? It was given to a colleague of mine, Erica, when she was still pregnant... and the result is....
yeah, Erica gave birth to a boy... soooooooooo cute!!!!!! ho duck yee ah.... our company went picnic last month and we finally met!
the familiar starbuck girl..... and I realized that I really didn't know the details of the logo until now...

(source of this pic is a secret, and please do not distribute it... anyways, if u know who is carl suk suk, do u now start to admire his artistic talent besides his superb music achievement?) first time going to conference outside canada for work purpose... it's really a great experience, at least this was the first time I was by myself in a hotel room (haha, don't laugh at me!)
the place that I stayed at... wow... hotel max @ downtown seattle, what a neat place! but the price was crazy -- US$199 per night. luckily it's paid by my company. the hotel has the modern artsie feel in every single corner...
the lobby...
what is that? a painting on the wall? a poster? no, it's the door to my room! mr. schmidt is going to work...
the doors are different...
the bed looks so comfy....haha
paintings on the wall... arrrrr....
I've got another sheep painting by....
flat screen tv.... I didn't want to get out of bed...
amazed by the hotel??
let's talk about the meat of this trip -- conference!
conference place -- the washington state convention and trade center... it's just HUGE!!!
~5000 participants joining the conference, with presentations from 8am till 6pm daily for 5 days! a total of 460 paper sessions, about 30 concurrently taking place in each time slot! so many sessions that I am interested in, but I couldn't split my body to attend them at the same time, haha!! the conference was really an eye-opener!
after the first day of conference, met with Audrey who's studying phd in washington university. had the great great mexican food..... americans make much better mexican food than canadians!
yo, finally finished summer teaching. these 12 weeks passed by so quickly, and that means summer is approaching the last month. I realized that I love teaching way more than my research job. it's time for a change.. yeah, good timing....
time really flies.... 7 years ago Darren was born in Vancouver, and I was in the hospital waiting outside the operation theatre for his arrival.... then my uncle brought him back to macau. maybe because of this, I am always missing him and very "pin sum" towards him... he's just so adorable... love die my biu dai jai....
yeah, guess I'll be writing in english on this blog from now on... simply because I am too lazy to type chinese, LOL!!
horhorhor.... watched Cars last last week, and have been looking for Cars toys, but I guess it's too late by the time I wanted them. The cutie small cars are already sold out in most places.... finally finally finally.... found my favourite Guido (the blue one) .... too lovely la!!!!!!!!
some snapshots from the movie... I wonder if I'll buy the dvd when it comes out... hmm.....
黎緊呢個禮拜有大型conference,但點解d人次次俾親data我都咁last minute? data monitoring last minute, data analysis last minute, slides preparation last minute? 於是日日不停咁衝呀衝呀,對部電腦對到眼鯨鯨。-_____-
本來要快d返屋企趕埋公司d野,但都係要俾自己透下。唔理咁多,去jor睇The Da Vinci Code。
besides the mushrooms, I've sewed (by hand) wasan and deer on a bag!!!!! the whole thing took me 20 hours, hahaa..... my shortsightedness probably gets worse after this!
